Marshawn Lynch Rainbow Done

After 4 years of hunting I have completed the 2013 Chrome Marshawn Lynch #6 rainbow when the Gold parallel reached my doorstep today. Here are all 14 cards, not including the Superfractor or printing plates.

I had some eBay gift cards from my birthday so when I saw the Gold parallel show up earlier this month I grabbed it immediately. The card sat in USPS limbo for two weeks so I was scared it was lost to the mail gods. After saying "In Transit" since July 7th I was planning on requesting a refund but when I went to the mailbox today it was there and I was elated. It is finally done. I have no plans on doing another rainbow any time soon.

One Step Closer

I am one card closer to completing my 2013 Topps Chrome Marhawn Lynch rainbow. Beastmode returned to Seattle and like a Festivus miracle, this red parallel #/25 card shows up in my saved search on eBay. I clicked the BIN button quicker than Santa sliding down the chimney. I overpaid for this card, but in the 3 years I have been working on this rainbow I have seen the red parallel show up twice and both times is was part of a complete rainbow for sale. I didn’t want to miss out. I am down to just needing the gold parallel.

One Card Post- A Marshawn Lynch Rainbow Find

Part of my birthday eBay gift card went to adding a new 2013 Topps Chrome Marshawn Lynch to my rainbow collection. I finally found one of the Blue refractors that wasn’t for an insane price or bundled with other cards. You would think that a card #/199 wouldn’t be too hard to find but for some reason these cards just do not show up very often.
With this new addition I am down to just two cards left in the rainbow, the Gold #/50 and the Red #/25 which I have never seen either of these cards. I am not chasing the Super-Fractor #1/1 or Printing Plates but if I can find a really good price I may pick up one of the error cards with Lynch on the front and Tony Gonzalez back.

What is funny is that I came across this card purely by chance too. I am slowly cutting in to my medical bills and I decided to try to make a bit more by selling my more common cards but as lots instead of one by one and I was considering selling the 11 cards from the rainbow that I have so I was checking prices and came across this card and I took it as a sign to not sell the other Lynch cards.

Tommorow Marshawn Lynch Will Be A Raider

It is official, the Seahawks have agreed to trade Marshawn Lynch to the Oakland Raiders for a trade of late round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Lynch, who is expected to take a physical in Oakland today, will sign a one-year contact for $3 million but will also include bonuses based on his stats and can end up hitting a max of $8.5 million.

With the Raiders in the AFC I am good with this trade because Lynch gets to play for his hometown team and one last “Hoorah” and the Seahawks show their complete respect for him by working with what Lynch wanted.

A Marshawn Rainbow Attempt

I decided to try and work on a rainbow of Marshawn Lynch’s 2013 Topps Chrome #6 card. This card is one of my favorite Lynch cards and since there is nothing major special about the card I figured it would be a safe chase. I went in to the challenge with the expectations that I would not chase the Superfractor or printing plates so that left me hunting 14 cards, which includes the base card. I am currently at 11 cards, missing the Blue (Not the Blue Wave) #/199, Gold #/50 and Red #/25 parallels.

I am really surprised that the Blue refractor is difficult to come by, it isn’t exactly a rare card with being #/199. I have seen one show up alone, they are always bundled with other cards and I do not want to buy a bunch of cards because I need just one of the cards. But this is the thrill of the hunt.
