Preview: 2011 Panini Prime Cuts

Panini is taking their MLBPA license high end with the release of 2011 Prime Cuts, schedule for release in March. Their recent signing with the Baseball Hall of Fame means that they will be bolstering up the product with some amazing autographs and relics from baseball history. The pre-sell price has been set at $250/box.

I think it has a nice "old-time" feel to the design and you can not complain about the players include in the set, I really like it, though it is outside of my price range, and would bet that it probably will do well once released.

Each 5-card pack/box will contain 2 autographs, 2 memorabilia cards and an additional hit (either an auto or relic). The relics include 1/1 barrel cards, jumbo swatches and multi-swatch cards. Autographs include Cut Signatures, Notable Nicknames and Significant Signatures.
