Today
is question day:
Let’s say you have a $100 card budget to pick up one RC of a unique favorite
player, not a PC or minor PC, who would it be?
For me it would be one of two cards; 2002 Fleer Ultra
Sue Bird #101 or 2002 Fleer Authentix Sue Bird #101. I would lean more towards the Ultra card because I prefer the design and green background. They each run around $50-75 for raw copies with graded copies running significantly higher.
The 2002 Fleer Authentix looks better in my eyes [I like the draft ticket theme] and looks to be serial #'d - but among die-hard WNBA collectors, which card is considered the most popular / mainstream / in-demand rookie issue - if that is the Fleer Ultra, then so be it.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure which set was more popular with WNBA collectors but the rookies in the Authentix set were SPs and #/2002 compared to the Ultra set where they were not SPs or numbered. Looking at PSA's pop report they are virtually even with grading.
DeleteGood question. I would do a Dwayne Johnson football card from Miami I'd those were more affordable
ReplyDeleteWow. There are WNBA rookie cards that sell for $50 to $75. That's awesome. As for your question... I'd go with the 2010 Topps Emerald SGA card of Buster Posey.
