Today is
question day:
Who do you feel is the best
athlete to never win a championship?
I did have some problems with limiting the list, but
here is my final decision:
Baseball- Ken Griffey Jr., Ted Williams, Ty Cobb &
Tony Gwynn
Basketball- Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson & Malone /
Stockton
Football- Jim Kelly
Hockey- Pavel Bure and Henrik / Daniel Sedin
I agree with all of these and would add Dan Marino for the NFL.
ReplyDeleteBarry Sanders
ReplyDeleteI agree with your baseball and basketball lists. Marino and Sanders would be on my NFL list, and probably Kelly/Thurman Thomas/Bruce Smith (we'll have to add Larry Fitzgerald to that soon)
ReplyDeleteFor hockey I'll add Jarome Iginla, Marcel Dionne, and Jeremy Roenick. Joe Thornton and Henrik Lundqvist still have a chance, but time's running out.
Too much Canucks bias for hockey... How about Mike Gartner, Peter Stastny, Marcel Dionne, Adam Oates, Jarome Iginla?
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good list. Patrick Ewing probably belongs on there for basketball, as well.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Hate seeing Gwynn's name on this list. That being said... solid list. I would have added Marino and after reading the comments... Barry Sanders and Bruce Smith. Patrick Ewing too.
ReplyDeleteCarl Yastrzemski and Ernie Banks.
ReplyDeleteDitto Adam, Ernie Banks. "Mr. Cub". One of the greatest power hitting shortstops of all time.
