Monday Question Day- Brands?

Today is question day:

Do you have a favorite brand?

Do you have a favorite set?

It can be from any company at any point in time or any set no matter when it was released. I have always been partial to Upper Deck products. It is difficult to pick a specific set but I like the early Stadium Club releases too.

  1. Ultra is/was my favorite brand. The 1996-97 NBA release is my favorite.

  2. Japanese Yamakatsu did a pretty legitimate job from the 1950s to the 1980s. I'd have to say this is my choice.

  3. Although I think really like some of the old Collectors Edge and Fleer sets, if I had to choose an old favorite brand I think it would have to be Topps Total.

As for favorite set, it might be an oddball set that reminds me that my Browns had better times, the 1992 Sunoco Browns Hall of Fame set: http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/105351/1992-Sunoco-Browns-Hall-of-Fame

  4. I'm old school... so Topps will forever be my #1 company. However I'd love to see Upper Deck get their MLB license again (UD Masterpieces ruled). My dream set is the 1956 Topps. My favorite flagship sets that I actually own are the 1983, 1975, and 1972 sets.

  5. Does TCMA count? Cause that's my favorite. If we're talking mainstream only I'd say Topps regular set...or 'flagship' as it's called now.

My favorite specific set is the 1959 Topps set...first cards I actually owned and collected. Also the first one I blogged.
